Grey Sky, White Bowl

Wide open spaces and empty vessels reinvigorate my creative juices after the confines of the weekday routine. I'm talking about big sky weekends, a simple hand-thrown white ceramic bowl and a grill-press packed in the car trunk -- essential components for a seaside road trip in search of fresh-caught appetizers, eaten in the cool ocean air on a hotel room porch. Voila! Foodie glamping.

TIPS:  Ask for a remote room location with a patio or small deck. Don't forget to pack a high wattage extension cord, olive oil, lemons, pocket knife, salt and pepper. The remainder is at your own risk (pleasure.)

Ash wood cheese board from Brooklyn woodworker Ariele Alasko.  Baseball bats are made from this wood!

Kitchen linens from Fog Linen and Ambatalia.

Floral printed fabric by PB&J Basic Grey pattern #30322.  Same here in red & yellow color.
